Analogue mechanical camera technology - despite all its complexity - can still be easily repaired today, as long as spare parts are available. We receive many inquiries about repairs, often also about the price. Basically, one should speak of a "value" that a camera experiences through the repair. And so everyone has to decide for themselves how much memory values and/or restored utility values are "worth" to them. Even if a CLA (Clean, Lubricate, Adjust) or repair does not represent a full restoration (as is perhaps the case with the "vintage service" carried out by Leica Customer Care), the measures involved in a camera repair are certainly comprehensive a "overhaul". 1. General

2. Order / cost estimate / repair
2.1 Repairs will only be carried out after a written order. Verbal agreements are invalid.
2.2 You will receive an order confirmation for the device sent in, unless a non-binding cost estimate is prepared at the express request of the client. 2.4 Guarantee Repairs will only be carried out if the corresponding proof of purchase is included with the repair shipment. The guarantee does not cover transport costs and risks for transporting the device to or from the repair shop.

2.6 Repair orders are accepted subject to the procurement of spare parts.
3. Shipping
3.1 If an order is not placed within one month of the date the cost estimate was issued, the device will be returned unrepaired.
3.2 For devices that are returned unrepaired without a cost estimate being prepared, we* charge a flat-rate shipping fee plus VAT.
3.3 All devices will be returned at the expense and risk of the client. If requested, the device can be insured against transport damage and loss at the client's expense. If transport damage or breakage is discovered, an application must be made to the carrier for a statement of facts. Otherwise, claims for damages will be lost.
4. Claims for defects and liability
4.1 The statutory provisions on material defects and liability apply to consumers.
4.2 For entrepreneurs within the meaning of Section 14 of the German Civil Code (BGB), the provisions of the paragraphs apply.
